Dr Sheikh Sultan unveils a plaque at the inauguration

International oil and gas facilities service provider Petrofac has officially inaugurated its new office building in Sharjah.

The inauguration was performed by Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamad Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah
The group’s three divisions and corporate functions, which previously occupied several office locations in the emirate, are now all ensconced within the new location, Petrofac House. Project management of the build was undertaken by Petrofac’s engineering, procurement and construction personnel with local contractor, Al Thuriah Building Contracting Ltd, and interior design company, Design Design.
The 18-storey building includes 14 floors of office accommodation, with seating for more than 2,000 staff, four floors of dedicated car parking, a 100-seat auditorium, a cafeteria and paramedical facilities.  The building also boasts an integrated building management system and a state-of-the-art data centre, fully equipped conferencing facilities and a gymnasium.
Maroun Semaan, chief executive of Petrofac’s engineering and construction division, said:  “The building is a showcase for our business here in the Middle East and demonstrates a real milestone in Petrofac’s history.”
