Wurth's new logistics centre
Assembly and fastening tools company Wurth Gulf is to open a new logistics centre at the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafz) in Dubai to cater to the regional market.
The 5,000 sq m centre will help the company serve the markets of the GCC, North Africa, Indian Subcontinent and Far East, according to a report in the Gulf News. Wurth Gulf, the regional division of Wurth of Germany, opened its office in Jebel Ali 18 months ago and the new centre will be an extension to its existing office.
Wurth Gulf said it won Dh2 million ($544,660) worth of business at the Hardware and Tools trade show, which was held recently at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Wurth Gulf is initially targeting the car repair and maintenance market and metal working industry and will later look at the construction and industrial sector, the report added.
$67m funding to be finalised
The National Central Cooling Company's (Tabreed) agreement with the Union National Bank, Abu Dhabi, and the Dubai Islamic Bank on a Dh250 million ($67 million) funding programme will be finalised by the second quarter of this year, the company said.
Documentation for the loan is in advanced stages of completion, according to a report in the Khaleej Times.
A preliminary agreement on the credit line was signed in September last year. Tabreed is constructing a scheme on Shaikh Zayed Road to provide cooling to many commercial and residential buildings on both sides of the road.
New chlorination system launched
Abu Dhabi Maritime & Mercantile International Company (AMMI) of the UAE has launched an on-site electrolytic chlorination system (OSEC) on the market.
The product was unveiled at the third Water & Technology Conservation Exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
ADMMI Engineering is a prominent player in water and wastewater industry, along with its partner Wallace and Tiernan, which has invested considerable sums in research and development and has successfully completed a large number of chlorination installations through out the UAE.
