Alba’s finished metal production increased this year to 506,580 tonnes by the end of July, 8,000 tonnes above plan. This was revealed by Alba chairman Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji during a production review at a board meeting held by the company.
Alba’s safety performance and departmental safety achievements were also reviewed and praised by the chairman, who said that the achievement reflected the outstanding expertise of the employees.
The board reached a decision on the marketing plan for the coming year to market Alba products in the local, regional and international markets following the production increase over the past several months.
The board also reviewed updates on the new in-house training centre and Alba’s preparations as a co-sponsor of the Arab Environment Conference which will be held this month under the patronage of the General Directorate for the Protection of Marine Resources, Wildlife, and Environment chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The board reviewed all items in the meeting agenda, including aluminum prices in the international market and how to benefit from it in next year’s marketing plan after meeting the local and regional market requirements.
It also reviewed Alba’s financial and marketing position, auditing committee reports, in addition to different technical reports on the operations at the company.
“These achievements would not have been possible without the expertise we have at Alba to improve our production,” said Al Kooheji.
“We are pleased with our employees’ performance, and we always encourage them to continue with their efforts and dedication,” he added.
