Emcor Facilities Services (Bahrain) has announced the launch of its operations in the kingdom.The company was created as a joint venture between between the Bahrain Financial Harbour Holding Company (BFHHC), Financial Centre Development Company (FCDC), and Emcor Facilities Services Group Ltd (EFSG) for the delivery of integrated facilities services and property management solutions. 
Dr Omer O El Mardi, managing director of BFHHC and FCDC, has been appointed chairman of the board. Members of the board were named as Christian Roberts, CEO, EFSG; Nawaf Rashid Sadeddin, chief development officer, BFHHC; and Martin Green, group finance director, EFSG.
“With its management team and resources firmly in place to commence its operations within BFH’s Financial Centre, Emcor Facilities Services (Bahrain) is also gearing up to offer its operations to other high-profile projects across the country,” a statement said.
Commenting on the launch, Dr El Mardi said: “As per industry experts, the facilities management market in the Arabian Gulf will be worth an estimated $892 billion over the next 25 years. The current construction boom across the Gulf is building a huge demand for facilities management in order to provide expert advice in the planning stages of a building and help property developers maximise profits over a building’s lifecycle.”
Roberts said EFSG considered Bahrain as a key market and its newly-established presence in the booming economy was definitely a major success. The presence was also part of its regional growth strategy.
Emcor Facilities Services Bahrain will be first working on a 125,000 sq m area within BFH which accommodates the impressive Harbour Towers, a project that offers high-quality prime office space for the local, regional and international financial services industry, and the Harbour Mall, which houses exclusive retail outlets, cafes and other leisure facilities, the Bahrain Stock Exchange, and brokerage and trading firms.
Emcor Facilities has commenced the initial stages of operations for BFH, which involves the implementation of its integrated management system, service procurement strategy, asset management system, and a 24/7 call centre for all current and future tenants within the development.
