National Plastic is helping meet a strong demand for PVC-U pipes

Sharjah-based National Plastic was set up in 1975 as one of the first companies in the region to manufacture UPVC and polyethylene-based piping systems.

Today the company has established itself as one of the major manufacturers and distributors of a wide range of high-quality products that it exports to over 40 countries.
Highlighting quality, the company says its products conform to international standards such as ASTM, BS, ISO, DIN, NF, BPO as well as Australian standards. It stresses that it uses the most advanced technology and machinery and procures raw materials of high quality.
Since inception the company has developed its capabilities significantly and expanded its product range with the addition of an adhesives, sealants and bonding agents division. Its production facilities have also been expanded to cover an area of 18,000 sq m.
National Plastic produces a wide range of PVC-U drainage pipes in accordance with British Standards applicable to drainage systems. The pipes are produced from 100 per cent virgin unplasticised polyvinyl chloride compound.
The range covers sizes from ND 36 (one and a quarter inches) to ND 400 (16 inches) and is compatible with either solvent weld or rubber ring joint fittings.
“PVC-U has a number of mechanical and thermal properties that make it very suitable for drainage applications,” according to a spokesperson for National Plastics.
Its worldwide customers include municipalities, water authorities, banks and international aid agencies, public works departments, agribusinesses, many private sector enterprises and telecommunication organisations.
Besides high-quality products the company also takes advantage of its geographical location with access to the world’s largest petrochemical feed stocks. It also operates from one of the most progressive countries and active centres of trade in the region.
National Plastic is an ISO 9002 company. It has been certified by the Austrian Association for the Certification of Quality Systems – OQS – and is registered with the International Certification Network-IQ Net. This document and the OQS certificate are recognised by more than 25 member-countries worldwide certifying the quality of National Plastic products. The company has also formed strategic alliances with several other leading manufacturers to complement its own range. It is thus able to offer a complete range of products and services to customers around the world.
