Acuren and Extech, along with Bretech, Sperry Rail, RAT International and Hellier are part of Rockwood which operates in more than 20 countries through 100 offices worldwide.

Extech was established in 1997 and has since been providing municipal, private and industrial water clients with corrosion-control expertise on over 15,000 tank projects.

Preserving tank structures
Extech was the first and still is the only tank consulting firm to offer the exclusive TankRover and RoboVac systems, a company statement said.  “These revolutionary technologies set us apart and exemplify our commitment to helping water utilities preserve tank structures and water quality with no interruption in service,” it said.

“The key to our success is a unique combination of dedicated professionals and innovative remotely control underwater systems technology.

“Our focus is to develop means and methods to gather data about steel and concrete structures and then apply our corrosion engineering knowledge to halt deterioration and rehabilitate those structures.”
