Zamil Steel Construction Company has been recognised by ABV Rock Group Ltd for its safety performance.

The recognition was specifically for its outstanding work with scaffolding at the Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (Yasref) MC-5 project in the western region of Saudi Arabia.

According to ABV Rock, Zamil Steel Construction Company has shown real professionalism and support with good working practices in the storing of materials, erection of scaffolding over large areas and subsequent removal of all materials from site.

Also recently, Zamil Steel Ras Al Khaimah received a certificate of appreciation from the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence Department in recognition of its contributions to the success of World Civil Defence Day 2014.

The RAK Civil Defence Department valued the commitment of Zamil Steel and the efforts exerted to implement the highest measures of safety and security so that everyone lives and works in a stable, secure and comfortable environment.

Meanwhile, a delegation from the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, accompanied by officials from Samsung Engineering and Construction Company, visited Zamil Steel facilities in Dammam’s First Industrial City in the middle of last month.

The delegation was welcomed by the Zamil Steel corporate marketing team and given a presentation by Majed Alshubili of the marketing department on the company, its products and services, and the latest manufacturing systems and methods Zamil Steel applies at its factories. There were technical presentations by Fouad Al Malazi of the product research and development department.

The delegation also visited the pre-engineered buildings plant where engineers and technicians gave a detailed briefing on the plant’s operations and state-of-the art production equipment.

INDIA EVENTS

Zamil Steel, which has production facilities in India and has been involved with several contracts there, took part in a trade event held in Kolkata, eastern India, earlier this year.

Zamil Steel Buildings India Co Ltd showcased its product innovations and solutions at the Economic Times ACETECH 2014 exhibition, held at the Science City Exhibition Grounds.

The event is dedicated solely to the construction industry, and this was the first time it was held in Kolkata. It attracted hundreds of architects, engineers, builders, technical experts, agents, and building and construction industry professionals from all over the country.

Zamil Steel’s participation enabled the company to meet and network with visitors and secure some good project leads for the coming months.

Zamil Steel India also participated in the 13th edition of the Constro International Fair at the Agriculture College Ground in Pune, India.

The Constro International Fair is the only exhibition that represents the construction industry in Pune. It was an important opportunity for Zamil Steel India to showcase its innovative building products and solutions on home ground and was a most relevant event, as the theme this year was “Pre-engineered Construction Techniques.”

The Zamil Steel booth attracted numerous contractors, consultants and customers from Pune and across India. The company showcased its expertise and specialised products and services to business representatives and spent the three-day expo cultivating new contacts and fielding inquiries as well as interacting with the other exhibitors, leading structural engineers, consultants and architects.
