HILAL Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE)’s inaugural Gulf Property Show, taking place alongside the well-established gulfBID and gulfInteriors exhibitions, will testify to Bahrain’s recovering property market and showcase opportunities for investors in the sector.

It will be held from May 7 to 9 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. A dedicated boutique showcase for the real estate and property development sectors, Gulf Property Show highlights present and future developments in Bahrain and the Northern Gulf.

The event has the strategic sponsorship of Manar Developments, gold sponsorship of Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH) and sponsorship of Saar Central. It is powered by Tamkeen.

Supporting organisations are Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Bahrain Property Developers Association, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, British Expertise, Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa) and Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA).

“The Gulf Property Show comes at an appropriate time when Bahrain’s property market is picking up after the slump that had hit realty in the kingdom over the last two years as a result of the worldwide economic downturn,” said BFH managing director Dr Omar Al Mardi.

“There’s no doubt the show will boost awareness in the property market. It will also provide an ideal platform for BFH to showcase its world-class facilities including a complete financial city, which is a self-contained community in the centre of Manama.”

Dr Al Mardi said BFH is the product of a unique idea to build a business community that will accommodate all financial institutions in one place and provide them with all the necessary services whether communications, security or professional support such as auditing and legal help.

“At the same time, BFH provides proximity to high-level living accommodation for families in nearby buildings and social requirements including shopping areas, sports clubs and medical clinics.

“The location itself is ideal as it is the literal gateway into and out of Bahrain.

“The kingdom has a central land registry for property that clarifies land ownership, a strong regulatory environment and a range of bench-marked professional services and expertise, independent agencies, and banking and financial systems all recognised internationally.”

Welcoming the gold sponsorship of BFH, HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman said: “It is well known that BFH is one of the respected, landmark estates in the heart of Manama having properties ranging from commercial to residential and lifestyle.

“We believe there is synergy between what they have to offer and what visitors will see at Gulf Property Show. The support of BFH shows the value that the property sector places in the first Gulf Property Show.

“We at HCE believe Bahrain needs a property show not just to showcase what the kingdom has to offer, but also to open the window on the property sector available to a burgeoning real estate investment base in the Northern Gulf.”
