Hydraulic City, which assembles and manufactures hydraulic and pneumatic components, is expanding its branch network to handle small-scale production.

According to Saad Al Zahraini, a Hydraulic City engineer, the company manufactures hydraulic cylinders from basic material including steel and assembles hydraulic power units and hydraulic machinery with parts imported from Europe.
Hydraulic City also manufactures hydraulic seals and security  gate blockers, he said.
“We now make 800 cylinders per year and demand is  rising by 20 per cent annually,” said Al Zahraini.
We assemble around 250 hydraulic power units and make thousands of hydraulic seals. As for the hydraulic machines, we assemble around 15 per year.
“For hydraulic machines we produce the mechanical structure while the hydraulic element is assembled from imported parts.”
Last year Hydraulic City opened a new section to provide hydraulic units for dumping trucks. The units come as complete systems from Spain and Hydraulic City workers install them on the trucks. Al Zahraini said the company expected to sell 200 units this year.
The company has two branches that undertake small-scale prodution work, one in Riyadh and the other in Abha. This year it opened two additional branches in Yanbu and Madinah while a third is due to open later this year in Jeddah.
Each branch has its own workshop, well eqipped and ready for the maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Hydraulic City, which began operations in Jeddah in 1988, owns stores in each region where it has a branch. The stores and branches enable the company to respond promptly to customers’ needs.
