Universal Rolling (Unirol), the first manufacturer of steel reinforcement bars in Bahrain, will be Steel Sector Sponsor for the Gulf Construction Expo, the Northern Gulf’s leading annual exhibition.

Unirol plays an active role in the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure as a reliable supplier of reinforcement steel bars and says it is ready to supply the kingdom’s marque projects including the metro and the new Bahrain-Saudi causeway.

Operations Director Ali Der says: “2021 was a tough year for the steel sector, as it was for all sectors of the economy. We view 2022 with optimism and confidence brought about by the positive indicators in Bahrain’s economic recovery.”

Last year, Unirol had focused on developing its products and upgrading its accreditation certificates.

The company has succeeded in obtaining Kuwait’s product quality certificate ISO 6935-2, and the recognition of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) with regard to technical requirements for iron bars in 2020.

Both additions complement its certifications portfolio, that includes the UK Cares certification and the ISO 9001 quality management system, he adds.

“Unirol products are proudly made in Bahrain, and we have achieved success in the export field. We are participating at Gulf Construction Expo to promote our brand as a reliable steel partner and supplier,” Der states.
