Officials at the opening ceremony

Emerson, a global technology and engineering company, has launched its newest manufacturing facility in Jubail, further diversifying its local manufacturing portfolio in Saudi Arabia.

The Jubail facility marks another expansion in Emerson’s manufacturing capabilities in the western Middle East region, with existing facilities and plants in Dammam, Al Khobar and Dhahran Techno Valley. The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials of Emerson and other key stakeholders who later toured the facility to get a peek into its regional manufacturing capabilities and technology offerings.

Speaking at the launch, Liam Hurley, the Vice President and General Manager of Emerson in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, said: “This new facility in Jubail is the product of Emerson’s commitment to bring our businesses closer to our customers.”

The plant, which will be manufacturing solenoid valves, filter regulators and control cabinets, is aimed at enabling faster, more efficient service to customers in the kingdom and nearby countries across the Middle East and Africa region.

“We continually align our capabilities to the needs of our customers. In this region, it has meant migrating some of our capabilities from Dubai to Saudi Arabia to improve efficiency not just in production, but also in logistics and delivery costs to provide better service and value to our customers and partners,” he added.

“Our investments in Saudi Arabia are not only aimed at serving our customers better but also to back the region’s localisation programmes,” remarked Sergio Caligara, the Vice President of Emerson’s discrete and industrial business in Middle East and Africa.
