The fourth session of ‘Digital Next Leadership Series’ is set to gather global cyber security experts and government entities representatives from across the world on a virtual platform to explore how the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve over the next few years.

Themed ‘Cyber Next’, the upcoming talk which will take place on December 8, 2021, is the latest in the series of talks being hosted by the Department of Government Support (DGS) represented by the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and is being organised by Messe Frankfurt Middle East.

Dr Mohamed Abdelhammed Al Askar, Director General – Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, said: “We are excited to bring forward the fourth in the series of leadership talks being hosted by DGS represented by ADDA in the run up to the Digital Next Summit. The rapid digitalisation and adoption of emerging technologies have amplified the necessity for protecting the critical infrastructure and sensitive information of both government entities and customers alike.”

“The increasing threats of cyber-attacks are the main reasons that drive governments to develop their cyber security ecosystems and contingency plans to effectively tackle the new threats and ensure the resilience and integrity of their ecosystems,” Dr Al Askar added.

The session will kick off with an opening presentation by Dr Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government. Cyber security experts from the government and private sectors as well as tech leaders are primed to share new ideas and innovations in their field and join a panel discussion focused on the topic ‘Combating Intensifying Cybersecurity Risks and Improving Cybersecurity Landscape’.

The sessions are being organised in the lead up to the highly anticipated Digital Next Summit which will take place on February 22 to 23, 2022 in Abu Dhabi. All sessions being held as part of the series reflect the topics which will be the highlight of the summit, namely GX Next, Data Next, Government of the Future, and Cyber Next.

The Digital Next Summit follows the successful inaugural event which was held in 2019.
