Howden Group, a leading global provider of mission critical air and gas handling products, technologies and services, has strengthened its team in China with the appointment of Harold Lang as Group Vice President and China President.

From November 1, Harold Lang replaces Soren Jensen, who retired from the company at the end of September. In this role, Lang will be responsible for the leadership of Howden across China and continuing profitable growth within its key areas including: waste water, mining, hydrogen production, steel production, petrochemical, oil & gas, general industrial and power generation industries. 

Lang brings with him extensive experience in manufacturing, commercial and senior leadership from across a range of industries. Most recently he was President, and board member, of Far East Holdings Group.

Prior to his role with Far East Holdings, Lang was Chairman and CEO of Weichai International in the Weichai Group and he has held various leadership roles in Terex Corporation, York International and United Technologies Corporation.
