The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation and King Abdulaziz University (KAU) signed a memorandum of understanding at King Abdulaziz Airport in the presence of the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, and the President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Obaid Al-Youbi.

The agreement includes activating means of cooperation in all fields and a way to benefit from partnerships and alliances to develop the outputs of the two sides, establish a research centre specialized in the fields of air transport and aviation sciences, and develop joint programs aimed at developing and qualifying national cadres.

For his part, the President of GACA, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, explained that the signing of the memorandum of understanding between King Abdulaziz University and the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation comes from the commitment to achieve more cooperation with academic institutions and the aviation sector, where R&D are the cornerstones of building the future of the aviation industry. He pointed out that the joint cooperation between the scientifically prestigious King Abdulaziz University and the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation that specialise in aviation science since 1962 constitutes an important alliance that will contribute to meeting the needs of the labour market with qualified national cadres according to the highest international standards, especially since the two parties have many alliances and international accreditations.
