A guest speaker at the previous edition of the IPTC

More than 8,000 oil and gas professionals from across the world are expected to converge in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, for the 12th edition of the flagship International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) next month.

The conference, from January 13 to 15, will be held the Dhahran Expo under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

“The Kingdom is proud to host this year’s IPTC for the very first time in the country. Attended by industry leaders and sponsored by four premier petroleum organisations and societies, IPTC 2020 brings together global experts to share their knowledge,  innovation and latest technologies in what has become the flagship multi-disciplinary event in the Eastern Hemisphere,” said Mohammed Y Al-Qahtani, senior vice president, Upstream, Saudi Aramco, and IPTC 2020 Executive Committee Chair.

“At the crossroads of Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as the home of the world’s largest oil and gas company and some of the world’s largest oil reserves, the Kingdom is truly an exceptional location for this distinguished event,” he said.

The comprehensive agenda will feature distinguished industry experts speaking at various sessions. Some of the influential speakers at the conference include: Amin Nasser, president and CEO, Saudi Aramco; Mohammed Y Al-Qahtani, IPTC 2020 executive committee chair, senior vice president, Upstream, Saudi Aramco; Darren Woods, chairman and CEO, Exxon Mobil Corporation; Peter J Coleman, CEO and managing director, Woodside Energy Ltd; Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, executive director, Upstream Directorate, Adnoc; Patrick Pouyanné, chairman and CEO, Total; Wan Zulkiflee bin Wan Ariffin, president and Group CEO, Petronas; Jeff Miller, chairman, president and CEO, Halliburton; Lorenzo Simonelli, chairman and CEO, Baker Hughes; Michael Train, president, Emerson, chairman, Emerson Automation Solutions; Daniel Yergin, vice chairman, IHS Markit.

The 6,250-sq-m net exhibition taking place simultaneously, will feature over 150 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and technology enabling delegates and visitors to discuss potential partnerships and projects.

This edition of IPTC will cater to the dynamic interests of global oil and gas professionals, and spark discussions about key solutions and technologies that will take the industry on a path of further development and innovation, said officials.
