From a locally oriented, single-division company, Zamil Steel Company has come a long way and evolved into a regional leader in the ever-expanding field of steel fabrication in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Zamil Steel was established in 1977 in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, as a company dedicated to the design, manufacture, supply and erection of premier quality pre-engineered steel buildings (PEBs). Over the last nearly four decades, it has diversified its business and continued to strengthen its position in the international market for PEBs.

Today, its widely diversified activities include the design, manufacture and supply of conventional steel structures and process equipment, transmission and telecommunication towers, open web steel joists and decking. According to him, Zamil Steel demonstrates its commitment to service at the local level by maintaining a network of 54 sales offices spread all over the world. These facilities are fully staffed and equipped to provide quick, comprehensive responses to customer inquiries, as well as extensive after-sales service. 

The company exports products to about 90 countries worldwide and is equipped to provide clients with detailed quotations and proposal drawings in response to building inquiries, as well as on-site support for ongoing projects. The PEB major also engages the services of a wide network of certified builders around the globe. 

Zamil Steel operates manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, India and Vietnam. These are located at Dammam in Saudi Arabia; Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE; Pune in India; 6th October City and Sadat City in Egypt; and Hanoi and HCMC in Vietnam.

The annual production capacity of the main factory in Dammam exceeds 72,000 tonnes of PEBs and is considered the largest single PEB factory in the world, Al Sahib says. Since its inception, Zamil Steel has designed, manufactured and supplied over 75,000 PEBs to clients in over 90 countries worldwide.

Zamil Steel offers a wide range of products and services, including PEBs, steel construction and turnkey contracting, pipe racks, equipment support structures, built-up girders and columns, high-rise steel structure buildings, pressure vessels, oil/gas separator furnaces, heat exchangers, desalters, fired heaters, storage tanks, desalination evaporators, overhead power transmission towers and telecommunication towers.
