ABU DHABI National Insurance Company (Adnic), a company with longstanding expertise in providing innovative insurance solutions for clients across the UAE, has entered into an agreement with Dubai Trade to introduce Adnic’s marine e-cargo solution.

The solution will be accessible via Dubai Trade’s innovative online insurance platform called TradeShield. Through this new service, Dubai Trade customers will be able to avail themselves of Adnic’s marine cargo insurance services and e-cargo solutions.

“The partnership will facilitate customers to get online quotations for one-off shipments and Dubai Trade’s customers can also generate insurance certificates for their open cover shipments on a real-time basis,” a statement said. This will avoid delays, physical visits and manual work by converting the insurance cover purchases in a straightaway process, it added.

Engineer Mahmood Al Bastaki, CEO, Dubai Trade, welcomed the joint agreement and acknowledged that Adnic could make an important contribution to TradeShield. He added that his organisation was optimistic with Adnic serving as one of the pioneers in providing marine insurance services on the Dubai Trade portal. “We are confident that this successful collaboration will further enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our online services and attend to the needs and concerns of the trade and logistics community in the region,” he said.

The TradeShield online service offers ease of use, strengthened by a state-of-the-art platform offering direct integration to Adnic’s marine e-cargo solution. Customers can complete the end-to-end process of purchasing insurance online including payments, allowing companies independent and immediate access to insurance cover issuance.
