Fluke’s new system aids diagnosis

The Fluke CNX Wireless System connects many measurement modules

Fluke Corporation has introduced the Fluke CNX Wireless System, the first set of test tools that wirelessly connects multiple measurement modules and sends simultaneous readings to a master device up to 20 m away, allowing users to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently. The rugged, customisable tool set allows users to choose various measurement modules based on their specific troubleshooting scenario.

At the core of the Fluke CNX Wireless System is a CAT III 1000 V/CAT IV 600 V multimeter with a screen that displays its readings along with live readings from up to three other measurement modules. For more complex troubleshooting, users can view live measurements from up to 10 modules simultaneously on a computer equipped with the CNX PC Adapter.

“All meters communicate and work together as a team with the CNX wireless system to help technicians and engineers diagnose and troubleshoot problems efficiently and safely. Measurements are remote, simultaneous and recordable from up to 20 m away,” says Steve Hood, Fluke general manager, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, sharing the most essential benefit of the CNX system.

Meanwhile, the company has expanded the CNX Wireless Test Tools system to include the best-selling Fluke Ti1XX Series Thermal Imagers, enabling users to troubleshoot even more problems than before.

For customers who currently own or will purchase a Ti1XX Series Thermal Imager and CNX modules, there is a free, user-installable firmware upgrade within SmartView software that enables the thermal imager to capture and display electrical measurements wirelessly.

“We worked to integrate CNX with thermal imagers to create state-of-the-art technology, which not only gives accurate readings but also helps with reporting, tracking and documentation. It is a holistic solution for on-field technicians,” says Hood.

CNX main units now include the Ti1XX Series imager, which allows live measurements of up to five wireless modules to be viewed on its screen and integrated into the infrared image, and the CNX 3000 Wireless Multimeter, which can display its readings along with readings from up to three other measurement modules. Up to 10 live measurements can be viewed simultaneously on a computer equipped with the CNX PC Adapter.
