Toyota Material Handling International has honoured its Bahrain representative office with an award for sales and customer support.

Hisham G Andraos, technical and sales manager, Toyota Material Handling Division at Ebrahim K Kanoo (EKK), was presented with the award by Onishi, president of Toyota Material Handling International (TMHI) at a ceremony held in Yokohama, Japan, said a statement from the Bahrain firm.

“This award demonstrates the continuous support provided by management and the hard work and dedication invested by our professional sales and customer service team,” said Andraos.

The division provides industrial and commercial companies with high-quality equipment such as forklifts and other lifting trucks as well as ground support equipment for airports backed by after-sales services.

Andraos says the fast moving vehicles are three-tonne and five-tonne diesel forklifts.

“We introduced in 2012 a new version of the Toyota electric/battery forklift truck ranging in size from one to three tonnes.

Customers for the company’s material handling equipment are leading Bahrain companies including Alba, ATM Terminals, Bahrain Airport Services, Garmco, Balexco, GPIC and Bapco.

The company says it plans to open a new showroom in Bahrain to promote material handling equipment in a better and exclusive way. The division currently displays its vehicles along with Toyota cars.
