MEPEC will see three co-located events taking place alongside this year

The 4th edition of the Middle East Process Engineering Conference (MEPEC 2017), which is to be held in Bahrain from October 9 to 11, 2017, has announced its keynote and featured speakers, besides 16 technical sessions for the high-profile event.

Conference keynotes include industry players such as Ahmad Al Sa’adi (senior vice president (VP), Technical Services, Saudi Aramco); Ziad Al Labban (CEO, Sadara Chemical Company); Guy Lewis (VP, Strategic Marketing and Planning, UOP, A Honeywell Co); Suleyman Ozmen (Downstream Licensing, VP, Shell Global Solutions, US); Fuad Mosa (general manager, Local Content Unit, Innovation & and Business Development, Sabic); Ed Boufarah (VP, Digital Solutions – MEA & India, Baker Hughes, a GE company); Dave Andrews (VP, Catalysts & Licensing, ExxonMobil Chemical) amongst many others, covering subjects that range from Transformation from Volume to Value to Digitisation Revolution and the Petrochemical Industry.

The key lineup announced reflects a lot of the innovative trends associated with the process engineering sector.

Every year, as a lead up to the event, the regional process engineering community, conference committees and advisory boards spend weeks reviewing, analysing and deciding key topics which will be featured in the 2017 event programme. These sessions represent the most innovative and forward-thinking topics relevant to the industry’s challenges. The detailed conference technical programme can be found at https://www.mepec.org/program/.

MEPEC 2017 anticipates reaching over 2,500 participants, 200 exhibiting companies and thousands of visitors over the three-day event.

Keeping in line with global process engineering issues, this year’s theme is “Sustainable Growth through Process Innovation & Downstream Integration”. Key emphasis will be placed on topics focusing on Process Design and Development, Process Excellence, Sustainability and Downstream Integration for Value Creation.

The leading process-engineering exhibition of the Middle East is held under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, Kindgom of Bahrain at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Also, for the very first time MEPEC will see three co-located events taking place alongside, focusing on sectors such as: Leadership Excellence for Women Awards and Symposium, The Middle East Fine and Specialty Chemicals Conference and Exhibition and the Middle East Process Safety Conference which will all take place at the same time and place as MEPEC.

Combining, these four shows makes for an unmissable, world class networking event for visitors, delegates, investors, and government related organisations. Be present and witness women in engineering get recognised and celebrated for their excellence, as undergraduates race their chemically powered hand-built cars, as starts-ups showcase their innovation to the process engineering community and as young professionals and students solve design challenges and be mentored by the best names in engineering.

The conference and exhibition will be inaugurated by Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, Kingdom of Bahrain.

Over 103 expert speakers and moderators, high-level dignitaries, CEO’s and process-engineering professionals are expected to attend the event. To register, visit: https://www.mepec.org/delegate-registration. For more information on MEPEC and its co-located shows, visit:  https://www.mepec.org/.
