The World Energy Congress, being World Energy Council’s global flagship event is the premier international, multi-energy forum for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. The main theme for Congress “Embracing New Frontiers” promises an innovative concept and content. This time Istanbul is hosting the leaders who will build the future of energy from today. The 23rd World Energy Congress will enable dialogue among Energy Ministers and leaders from business, finance and academia around the world who will seek options for delivering sustainable energy systems on national, regional and global levels during dedicated sessions. The event will bring together more than 10.000 top world leaders in the field of energy, coming from industry, governments, and international organisations, as well as the media, universities and energy industry associations.

Gitex Technology Week 

October 16-20

Gitex Technology Week is one of the largest trading events in Dubai, and it is back again this year. It is a gateway for global brands to access the Middle East, one of the fastest emerging investment ready Information, and Communications Technology (ICT) market. Over 1,000 media outlets from around the world gather in this annual event, which has been running for over 32 years. Global and regional senior ICT executives will attend Gitex Technology Week 2016 to share digital transformation trends and showcase live scenarios on how business processes can run live in today’s digital economy.

Qatar maritime security – coastal and border surveillance conference (QMARSEC) 2016 is Qatar’s largest maritime security conference and promises to be one of the highlights of the year, attracting delegates from all over the world to engage in discussions on the theme ‘The Future of Automatic Identification System (AIS) Technologies and the Use of Unmanned Systems for Maritime Domain Awareness’. Top global expert in maritime security Captain John J Driscoll has been officially confirmed as a speaker at the event.

October 25-26

Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW)

November 13-15

Organised by VIS Exhibitions, Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) is the region’s first ever global forum that unites the cleaning and hygiene industry. An extension of Clean Middle East Pulire, MECTW has been conceptualised with the objective of focusing attention to creating a sustainable future by bringing all facets of the cleaning industry under a single umbrella. Following the success of 2015 edition, MECTW witnessed around 5,000 visitors and more than 160 exhibitors across the three verticals – Clean Middle East Pulire, Gulf Laundrex Linen Care Expo and Gulf Car Wash Car Care Expo.

11th Annual GPCA Forum

November 27 to 29

The Annual GPCA Forum will gather local and global leaders across every aspect of the energy industry to discuss, debate and chart strategies that will impact the sector’s future. Hosted by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA), this year’s conference will commence with speeches from Dr Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), and Amin H Nasser, president and chief executive officer of Saudi Aramco. Over the past decade, the Annual Forum - GPCA’s flagship event – has not only become a key feature in the global chemical industry agenda, but also a crucial knowledge sharing and networking platform for regional and global stakeholders.

Arabplast 2017

January 8-10 

Jointly organised by Al Fajer Information and Services, and Germany’s Messe Dusseldorf, ArabPlast has served over the years as the best platform to unveil new products, witness updates of the industry, open communication channels with industry peers, and meet global decision makers in the plastics industry. The event is annually supported by global companies from the region and the world; all of them are considered the largest manufacturers of petrochemicals globally.

On display at ArabPlast 2017 will be new products and technologies in injection moulding, blow moulding, wrapping and packaging, pre and post plastic processing techniques as well as raw materials, such as additives and polymers. 

ArabPlast 2017 has attracted a wide array of petrochemical and plastics companies.
