Saudi Print & Pack, the 13th International Trade Exhibition for Printing and Packaging Technologies, takes place next month in the context of growing business in those sectors in the Middle East.

The region’s printing industry is forecasted to touch $20 billion at the end of 2016, while the packaging market is growing at the rate of 5 to 15 per cent year-on-year. There is a huge market potential for growth especially in the GCC where Saudi Arabia controls more than 70 per cent of the packaging market which is expanding by 15 per cent each year.

Saudi Print & Pack, organised by Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC), will be held from January 18 to 21 at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“Saudi Print and Pack 2016 will be an ideal platform for overseas firms to negotiate with local companies for establishing manufacturing bases in Saudi Arabia and to leverage on-going development,” REC said.

The 12 editions of the show had helped raise standards in Saudi Arabia’s printing and packaging industry, it added.

The 13th edition will have the participation of 512 companies from 26 countries, including 10 international pavilions. The exhibitor profile comprises design and printing services, folding and cutting machines, large format printers, paper and printing supplies, consumer goods canning and packaging, food packaging equipment, plastic furniture, packaging supplies, billboards and electrical signs, and graphic imaging, among other things.

Saudi Print & Pack will be held concurrently with Saudi Plastics & Petrochem 2016, the 13th International Plastics & Petrochemicals Trade Fair.
