Four Donati industrial jib cranes have been delivered to Superior Tubular Solutions (STS)’ Dubai-based threading plant through Cranes-UK.
STS, a supplier to the oil and gas industry, is part of the Soconord Group – a globally established, Belgian-based business. The cranes will be used to assist in the production of equipment for the oil regions of the Middle East and Africa, a Cranes-UK statement said.
“STS is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery which will now include our four Donati jib cranes which will provide flexibility for both high- and low-volume production of tubular sections in a variety of sizes from 2.7/8 to 20” OD,” it said.
Located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, STS Dubai is set to work with a capacity of 100 tonnes of casing and tubing per year and aims to offer the largest variety of premium range goods of its type in the UAE.
Each of the four jib cranes have capacity of 125 kg and a radius of 3 m.
The specifications are:
4 x Donati free standing 125 kg capacity jib cranes (column and arm)
4 x Donati electric chain hoists. Dual speed. 125 kg capacity with push travel trolleys, general wiring and fixings.
The consignment was packed in individual ISPM15 heat treated pallet boxes custom fabricated to accommodate each component.
Cranes-UK are part of the Kingsway Corporation group which also incorporates Crane Handling, Fellows Stringer and Lifting Equipment Store. It has been operating in the lifting and handling industry for over 30 years.
