GML staff with the certifications

GLOBAL ship spares logistics provider GAC Marine Logistics (GML) has secured ISO certifications in recognition of its quality management, environmental management and occupational health & safety systems.

The ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates were presented to GML global director Jan Kielmann by DNV GL Business Assurance country manager for the Middle East, Alireza Ramin Majd, at the company’s head office in Dubai.

“The fact that GAC Marine Logistics Inc is now a certified company for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 is further evidence of their commitment and eagerness to understand and meet their customers’ needs and expectations. DNV GL Business Assurance is honoured to be a part of this success.”

GAC Marine Logistics specialises in the provision of an international door-to-deck delivery service for ship spares and marine parts to ship owners, operators, charterers and ship management companies.

“GAC’s expertise in the global shipping, marine and logistics industry makes a huge difference to the lead times required for acquiring spare parts – aiding ship owners and alleviating management concerns. The trio of quality awards acknowledges the efficiency, quality and environmental consideration we exercise daily on behalf of our clients,” said Kielmann.

Meanwhile, GAC Bahrain has secured the coveted FAIMplus certification for its international moving operations.

Verifiers Ernst & Young awarded the certification after a series of evaluations that were part of a three-year audit cycle that covered the fulfilment of prerequisites, a pre-audit assessment and an onsite audit.
