PETTIT Marine Paint, a leading manufacturer of high performance marine coatings, announced that its innovative EZ-Poxy² has won the Miami Innovation Award at the 2014 Progressive Insurance Miami International Boat Show in the boat care and maintenance category.

Organised by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and judged by members of Boating Writers International (BWI), the award recognises innovative distinction from other products currently being manufactured, benefit to the marine industry and consumers, practicality, and cost-effectiveness. Pettit’s award-winning EZ-Poxy²’s single-serving gel pouches of hardener offer a longer shelf life for a more user-friendly application – even for do-it-yourselfers – lowering the cost of boat maintenance and upkeep.

Pettit’s new two-part topside enamel, EZ-Poxy², provides a durable and high-gloss finish while eliminating the uncertainties associated with traditional two-part paints. Offering greater surface compatibility than any other product in the marine industry, the silicone-enhanced polyurethane paint can be applied over any previously painted surface, gel coat or wood. A combination of added gloss, wear resistance and UV protection makes this enamel exceptionally durable helping to maintain a boat’s polished and pristine look for years. Available in a wide variety of colours, the paint is easily applied with a roller and brush, and reduces the effects of brush strokes during application for a clean finish equivalent to that of a spray.  User-friendly, the solution eliminates the need for exact mixing ratios.

Pettit’s plant is located in Rockaway, New Jersey, and its products are available throughout the world.
