Leading experts from various segments of the maritime industry will be part of the new advisory panel for the ShipTech Middle East 2019 conference being organised by Seatrade Maritime in Dubai, UAE, from September 23 to 24.

The Seatrade Maritime team has roped in major players from professional services, engineering and technology, offshore logistics and onshore services sector besides a representative each from crude oil tanker company, a world-class shipping company and marine transport provider, said a statement from Seatrade Maritime.

The event take place at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, as part of UAE Maritime Week, being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council.

The conference will provide an essential platform for debate on what the future looks like for the maritime industry, said the organisers.

The advisory panel, which includes big names like Talal A Bakheet, former acting president, Vela International Marine; Captain Mohamed Al Ali, Senior VP Ship Management, Adnoc Logistics & Services; Captain Tony Field, VP, Middle East and Africa, Marine and Offshore, Lloyd’s Register; and Ali Abduljalil Shehab, Acting CEO for Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), will be instrumental in helping to position the event as the knowledge hub of technological advancements for the shipping sector.

Joining these members will be Chris Hayman, chairman, Seatrade, who has been involved in the development of the Seatrade brand since 1986. With over 30 years of industry knowledge, he makes the perfect addition to the advisory panel.
