The Airbus A320neo

Airbus will present its market-leading products and innovative technologies at the Bahrain International Airshow 2018, taking place from November 14 to 16 at the Sakhir Airbase.

The company will also deliver Airbus Foundation’s renowned youth development program, Airbus Little Engineer.

Bahrain's Gulf Air became the first national airline in the region to receive and operate Airbus’ leading single-aisle aircraft, the A320neo. The aircraft will be displayed on Gulf Air’s static display at the show.

The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver at least 15 percent fuel savings at delivery and 20 percent by 2020. With more than 6,100 orders received from over 100 customers since its launch in 2010, the A320neo Family has captured some 60 percent share of the market.

A mock-up of the H145 will be displayed at the Saudi Aramco booth, earlier this year Airbus Helicopters and Milestone Aviation Group Limited announced they will provide five H145s to Aramco Overseas Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise.

The H145 is the aircraft of choice for high-intensity operations such as offshore oil and gas transport making it ideal for Aramco’s light-twin fleet renewal program. More than 200 H145s have been delivered to date and have collectively achieved more than 100,000 flight hours since 2015.

Under the umbrella of the Airbus Foundation and in partnership with Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunication, Airbus will hold a series of Airbus Little Engineer workshops for 100 Bahraini students. The initiative aims at inspiring young students to pursue and study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).  - TradeArabia News Service
