Christian Putz, director - EMEA, Pure Storage

US-based Pure Storage, an all-flash storage platform that helps innovators build a better world with data, will showcase its vision for the future of infrastructure - a Data-Centric Architecture, at the upcoming Gitex Technology Week, in Dubai, UAE.

The 38th edition of the event will take place from October 14 to 18, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

A Data-Centric Architecture enables customers to keep applications in place while technology is built around it, and fundamentally transforms data centre design with the data as its core element, said a statement from the company.

With best-in-class infrastructure solutions, purpose-built for modern workloads and challenges, Pure Storage continues to deliver next-generation technology and collaborative partnerships that empower organisations to innovate, it said.

Attendees will get the opportunity to see how the company is enabling customers to leverage their most important asset, their data, by providing solutions that are effective, efficient and evergreen, it added.

With the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, data has shifted from being an informational asset to the core of innovation. According to a survey conducted by MIT Technology Review and commissioned by Pure Storage, an overwhelming 82 per cent of leaders in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, say that AI will give them more time to think creatively about business challenges.

But while 80 per cent believe that technology can help them develop new propositions for customers and sell more effectively, more than half (58 per cent) cite access to technology as the primary barrier to adoption of AI.

Christian Putz, director, emerging, EMEA at Pure Storage, said: “Today’s infrastructure wasn’t built from scratch to implement a cohesive data strategy - typically it was built over time, often project by project and is most likely fragmented, and not very cloud-like in its lack of simplicity and agility.”

“Modern organisations operate in a world of rapidly evolving applications, where future success is predicated on deriving intelligence from data to achieve competitive advantage and growth,” Putz said.

“This requires a modern foundation purpose-built to optimally store, share, and ultimately analyse data in a multi-cloud world,” Putz added.

Enhancements to Pure Platform Bring NVMe, AI to Mainstream
Pure will demonstrate a host of new data-centric solutions for enterprises at every stage of their lifecycle including:

?The new FlashArray//X product line, the first family of all-flash arrays purpose-built for Shared Accelerated Storage. The all-NVMe FlashArray//X family makes everything faster—databases, virtualised environments, test/dev initiatives and web-scale applications—at no additional cost.

?FlashBladeTM, the industry’s most advanced scale-out storage, architected to accelerate modern workloads and simplify infrastructure. It is tuned to deliver multi-dimensional performance for any data size, structure, or access, delivering 10x or greater savings in power, space, and cooling costs.

?AIRITM (Artificial Intelligence Ready Infrastructure) and AIRI Mini, architected by Pure Storage and NVIDIA, are the industry’s first integrated AI-ready infrastructures for deploying deep learning at scale. Built on Pure Storage FlashBlade and NVIDIA DGX-1, and with use cases across genomics, machine learning, AI, IoT and many more, FlashBlade—and now AIRI and AIRI Mini—power today’s most complex workloads and make AI-at-scale simple and accessible for all enterprises.

?FlashStackTM, Pure Storage’s converged infrastructure (CI) solution developed jointly with Cisco. Based on the 100 per cent-NVMe FlashArray//X or FlashBlade, FlashStack CI delivers maximum performance and reliability for business-critical applications, DevOps, and modern analytics and accelerates time to deployment, lowers overall IT costs, and reduces deployment risk.

Putz continued: “Since our inception, we’ve been at the forefront of storage innovation, and have moved first to disrupt the market time and time again. In the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Solid State Arrays, Gartner not only recognized us as a leader for the fifth consecutive year, but importantly, positioned us highest to the right on the completeness of vision axis and furthest on the ability to execute axis in the Leaders quadrant.”

“With our latest all-NVMe and purpose-built AI solutions, we continue to lead the industry. I look forward to sharing our vision and expertise with customers and partners at Gitex,” concluded Putz. – TradeArabia News Service
