A group of UAE investment companies has signed co-operation deals in energy, power and renewable energy sectors with Bangladesh besides the infrastructure development sector, said a report.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Saed Mohammed Al Muhairi, UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, reported state news agency Wam.

These MoUs provide for investing in energy and renewable energy sectors, as well as joint development of specialised economic zones, ports and free zones in Bangladesh.

Some of them also deal with provision of smart community solutions, maritime and cruise services, rail transport and logistics; manufacturing and industries, tourism and hospitality, healthcare and urban development, including development of residential, commercial and industrial real estate.
