Worldwide coatings manufacturer Hempel has launched a new antifouling coating – Atlantic+ – providing flexible and reliable performance. Delivering unparalleled protection, Atlantic+ is designed to protect the hull from fouling throughout service intervals of up to 60 months.
Forty years ago, most paints were solvent-borne, containing Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which can be highly hazardous to health and the environment. In the decorative paints sector alone, water-borne coatings now comprise 80 per cent of global demand.
Ebrahim K Kanoo, a diversified business conglomerate based in Bahrain, said that Kanoo Body Service Centres (KBSC) offers dedicated body paint and repair services at its centres in Salmabad and Arad.
Salwa Amin Interiors, which introduced paints from the US-based Benjamin Moore in Bahrain last year, reported that it has received outstanding response to these zero-VOC (volatile organic compounds) products. “Benjamin Moore’s paints go beyond just being green,” said Rashid Al Amin, managing director.
Wacker, the Munich-based chemical company, will be introducing its new dispersible polymer powders under Nexiva product line at this year’s European Coatings Show.
