Konecranes’ CLX electric chain hoist platform is expanding in North America to include frame sizes 16 and 25, increasing the capacity range up to 5 tonnes. Introduced in 2013, the top capacity for the CLX was previously 2 tons. The CLX design has been a winner for Konecranes.

Finland-based cranes manufacturer Konecranes has introduced the Boxporter, its new rail-mounted gantry (RMG) crane that has a smarter cabin enabling the clearest view in intermodal container handling. The arrangement gives the operator superb visibility and comfort.

Manitowoc has reported that nine of its Potain MCT 205 cranes have been chosen to work on the construction of apartments in Dubai, the contractors happy with their lifting capabilities, hoist inverter system and cabin technology. The cranes were delivered at the end of 2015 and are expected to remain on the jobsite until early 2017.

A crane with an electric wire rope hoist from Verlinde integrated into it offers a safe working load of 5 tonnes. The Eurobloc VT2 electric wire rope hoist has been integrated with the new 360° power slewing jib crane, manufactured by Pelloby, the UK distributor of Verlinde.
