The Port of Salalah has achieved top port rankings regionally and globally in a new JOC study on port productivity. It has been ranked the  sixth top transshipment port and 18th top port globally, as well as gaining high positions in a number of categories in the Europe/Middle East/Africa geographic class in the JOC Group study.

APM Terminals Bahrain, operators of the state-of-the-art Khalifa bin Salman Port, (KBSP), welcomed recently the inaugural Hanjin/NYK service with the arrival in port of the NYK Theseus. Shipping companies will now have access to a new and direct service to and from US West Coast and Korea, a first for Bahrain.

Saudi firm eyes yardTHE National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has signed an MoU with Saudi Aramco and Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine to conduct a feasibility study for a maritime yard project in the kingdom.
