A LEADING Bahrain exporter, MRS Fashions, has announced plans to open a new $10 million factory in September to meet rising demand from American consumers. The company accounts for nearly 70 per cent of Bahraini exports to the US.

Sabic to build steel plantsSABIC plans to build two steel plants on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast for its affiliate Hadeed. One plant, in Jubail, will have a processing capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per year (tpy) and the other, in Rabigh, one million tpy, Sabic said, adding it reached an agreement with the oil ministry for fuel to power the plants.
