Jebel Ali-based Aggreko supplies 58MW of power to the Ceylon Electricity Board

A UAE power solutions provider has signed a second extension on each of three contracts with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

Jebel Ali-based Aggreko International Power Projects (AIPP) has served the CEB for several years, beginning with the provision of 93MW of temporary power at five sites during the 1995-96 drought in the country.

AIPP is a dedicated business unit of the global power solutions provider Aggreko Pic.

Aggreko supplies 58MW of total power at three locations: Ambatale and Peliyagoda comprising 8MW and 20MW respectively, and Kotugoda, 30MW.

The company also provides on-site service engineers, manages logistics and the maintenance of the equipment.

AIPP was specifically formed by Aggreko Pic to handle multi-megawatt temporary power projects, and is prominent as a provider of power solutions, including generators, load banks, transformers, fuel tanks, cables and switchgear.

The company also provides comprehensive project planning, installation, commissioning and operating services and a 24-hour onsite service and maintenance support.
