Abu Dhabi Ship Building's (ADSB) new Syncrolift and Transfer System is facilitating the lifting, building and repairing of vessels up to 2,000 tonnes in weight and 85 meters in length, ADSB said in a statement.

The company will also be able to repair much larger vessels in three new 85m dry berths that were commissioned along with the shiplift system.

Construction meanwhile is well underway at ADSB for a number of other facilities including new ship assembly halls, a steel fabrication shop, an outfit workshop, a repair machine shop and a new warehouse complex.

In addition, a new 70m quay is under construction to support ship testing and commissioning. The shipyard's overall facility is growing from 50,000 sq m to 200,000 sq m.

ADSB performs a diverse range of ship-related activities including new construction, maintenance, repair and overhaul of both commercial and navy vessels.
