The Hilti regional office for the Middle East and South Asia region based in the Jebel Ali Free zone has inaugurated its training centre for the region.

This Dh1million venture ($272,000) is located on the Dubai Investment Park premises of their UAE representative, Hilti Emirates LLC.
“Liechtenstein-based Hilti has a corporate culture that focuses on people development and building sustainable competence as one of the key drivers of growth in the region,” said Rolf Sommer, regional training manager.
 “The regional training centre hosts indoor and outdoor facilities that simulate jobsite conditions for product and application training targeted at Hilti recruits, as well as Hilti customers,” he continued. 
This groundbreaking training academy is the first of its kind in the Middle East and South Asia region considering Hilti supplies most of the major projects in the region, along with the rest of the world, with innovative construction systems and solutions.  “In 2007 alone, 700 people were trained and coached with 35,000 training hours between them, which makes a facility of this calibre a necessity” said Sommer.
