Innovative Biosensors Inc (IBI), a company developing rapid, ultra-sensitive tests to detect harmful pathogens for both the biodefence and clinical infectious disease markets, and SecureTeq Corporation, a company providing proprietary software coupled with unique services and solutions for business continuity, commercial and government building security, have announced that they have formed a partnership to integrate and commercialise facility and infrastructure security management systems globally.

IBI’s proprietary BioFlash Biological Aerosol Collection, Detection, and Identification System provides near real-time, specific and sensitive detection of up to 21 biological threat agents in single test or multi-test formats. SecureTeq’s core products offer total integrated solutions for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear  and explosives fields together with Video (CBRNE+V) employing unique proprietary software and “best-in-class” detectors and sensors for the protection of high-risk buildings, critical infrastructure, transportation hubs, government and defence facilities.
“SecureTeq’s open architecture solution brings together ‘best-in-class’ threat detection technologies into a single seamless monitoring and management platform and we are excited to have the opportunity to expand the usability of BioFlash by adding this valuable biological detection capability,” said Richard Thomas, IBI’s vice president of business development.
“BioFlash is the only system that has integrated the combination of collection, detection and identification facets and which can be further integrated with the SecureTeq architecture to vastly expand its capabilities and the confidence it delivers,” said Anthony D Bashall, SecureTeq’s executive vice president, technology and corporate development.
