An Almeer production facility and panels that the company manufactures

Almeer Technical Services Company (Almeer) is currently working on a $34-million contract awarded by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for the maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in the Mina Al Ahmadi area.

The contract was awarded in January 2007 and is to be completed in November 2012.
Almeer offers a wide range of services and engineering solutions for the oil and gas, power and other major industries in the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
The company specialises in design, detailed engineering, fabrication, installation, commissioning and maintenance.
For Joint Operations, Wakra, Almeer is supplying manpower and equipment for welding services under a five-year contract that ends in September 2012. The contract value is $25.3 million.
Almeer will provide for the same party under a $15.18-million contract instrument and electrical maintenance work at its plant. The four-year contract ends in March, 2009.
Under a five-year contract it received in 2007 from the Kuwait Ministry of Electricity and Water, Almeer is doing annual maintenance work for the ministry’s instrumentation and control systems at the Al Azzoor South Power and Water Distillation Station.  The value of the contract is $22.2 million. 
In another major project, Almeer will be performing condition monitoring and preventive maintenance services for production facilities in Kuwait Oil Company’s (KOC) operating areas. The contract is worth $13.38 million and ends in September 2009.
The company is nearing the end off a three-year $8.86-million contract granted by KOC for the operation and maintenance of an effluent water disposal plant in the south and east Kuwait areas.
Another contract nearing completion is one from Petrofac/KOC for the extension of the existing RS3 DCS Rosemount system and interfacing of the existing RS3 DCS system with the New Delta V system at several gathering centres.
For the same party, Almeer has been undertaking from 2005 a $1.4 million contract for integrated maintenance management and full maintenance services for all facilities in KOC’s north and west Kuwait asset areas.
A five-year $2.2 million Equate contract for instrument and electrical maintenance work at its polyethylene plant comes to an end in July 2009.
An Almeer spokesman said the company was in the process of gaining approvals as vendor for Qatar Petroleum and Saudi Aramco.
The company has expanded its galvanising plant capacity from 3 m to 9 m. Among its new products are street lighting poles.
Its export markets are mainly in the Gulf region.
The company has two subsidiaries, namely Almeer Industries for Control Panels, Kuwait, and Integrated Petroleum Services Co, Basra, Iraq. It has a branch office in India operating as Global Engineering Services Set up for Almeer Projects.
Almeer Industries for Control Panels is engaged in the manufacture of panels for various applications, junction boxes, cable trays and accessories.
