Some of the company’s products

Among manufacturing companies involved with its kind of products and services, Al-Rashed Fasteners and Engineering Fabrication Services is one of the leading ones in the Middle East.

The company, part of the Rashed Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed & Sons Group (RAR Group), has developed as a major manufacturer and supplier of fasteners and provider of engineering fabrication services to the industrial and oil sectors in Saudi Arabia.
Since moving to the Al-Rashed Industrial Complex in Dammam’s Second Industrial City, the company has added new state-of-the-art machinery and doubled production capacity.
“We can now supply in the shortest delivery time the bulk requirements of end-users (oil companies), steel fabricators, contractors, stockists and traders,” sales and marketing manager Mohammed Shahid Iqbal said.
Al-Rashed Fasteners & Engineering Services, which has a valid ISO accreditation, consists of three divisions, namely Fasteners, Taurus (Automotive Fasteners) and Engineering Fabrication Services (EFS),

Fasteners Division
This Fasteners Division manufactures top-quality high-tensile fasteners such as bolts, nuts, stud bolts, anchor bolts and various specialised fasteners required for the structural steel, petroleum and tower transmission industries, among other sectors.
The division’s integrated manufacturing facilities have fully automated machines for manufacturing bolts and nuts supported by state-of-the-art technology for heat treatment, electro-galvanising and hot dip galvanising.
The division is considered a major manufacturer and service provider to the industrial and oil sectors of Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries.
The production range includes stud bolts (B7, B7M, L7, L7M in all diameters), high-strength bolts (Grades 8, 10.9, 12.9), heavy hex structural bolt and nuts (A325, A325M, BS4395), standard hex bolts and nuts (Grades 8.8, 6.8, 5.8, 4.8, 4.6, 5, 8 etc), anchor bolts, U bolts  etc.
As well as being a leading manufacturer of a complete range of fasteners (bolts, studs, anchors and  nuts) and automotive fasteners, it is the largest Middle East manufacturer of high-tensile fasteners.
The company imports high-quality international-standard raw material from France, Italy, Japan, Korea and India, among other places.
“We have an in-house training facility with qualified engineers and the company also extends growth-oriented training in institutions outside the company for deserving employees,” said Iqbal.
“The challenge the company faces is operating in a situation were there are cheap and low-quality imports from Asian countries including those in the Far East.”

Taurus
Al-Rashed manufactures and supplies high-quality automotive fasteners under the brand name Taurus as part of its portfolio.
The automotive fasteners series includes a complete range of GET under carriage and other fasteners (bolts and nuts) as well as pins for heavy-duty earth-moving machines which the company claims surpass any international and OEM standards.

Engineering Fabrication Services
This division specialises in oilfield drilling services and boasts the latest pipe-stubbing facility. The plant is fully equipped to do medium fabrication and machining of various precision components such as gears, shafts, sprockets, tools and large machine components, among other things.
The division is already involved in manufacturing oilfield tools and accessories including drill pipes, castings, crossovers, couplers, hole openers and reamers.
The facilities include an in-house tool shop that undertakes high-precision and sophisticated fabrication/repairing of dies, punches and other required tools.
The American Petroleum Institute (API) has granted Al-Rashed Engineering Fabrication Services Al Khobar the right to use the official monogram on manufactured products under the conditions specified in the official publications of the APL.
Al Rashed Fasteners and Engineering Fabrication Services’ quality assurance and control system is based on EN ISO-9001:2000. The company has also received certification from Rheinisch-Westfaslischer TUV for its quality system.
