Juffali Commercial Vehicles (JCV), a leading player in Saudi Arabia’s commercial automobiles industry, is playing a vital role in the construction and development of Neom, one of the world’s most ambitious new mega-developments.

Neom is described as a vision of what a new future may look like. The estimated $500 billion regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea is being built from the ground up as a living laboratory and a place where entrepreneurship will chart the course for this new future.

As the sole agent and distributor for Daimler’s range of Mercedes-Benz trucks, vans, and buses in Saudi Arabia, JCV is providing a locally-assembled fleet of the new generation of Mercedes-Benz Actros and Arocs heavy-duty trucks for the world-class project.

“The scale and ambitions of Neom are second to none and it is incredibly rewarding to see our Mercedes-Benz Trucks Actros and Arocs are working so hard for this world-class project,” said Heiko Schulze, the CEO of Juffali Commercial Vehicles.

“The Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand is synonymous with reliability, top-of-the-range heavy-duty trucks. Our customers receive a truck with components that are designed to work together to deliver higher production levels and versatility,” he added.

According to the company, the Actros and Arocs heavy-duty trucks, which are assembled at a factory of its subsidiary – National Automobile Industry (NAI) – in Saudi Arabia, add a new dimension of efficiency and strength, as they have been developed specifically for the extreme weather conditions in Saudi Arabia and with specifications that allow them to endure the most difficult operating requirements.

“The Actros, and Arocs trucks have proven to be highly efficient and durable, making them a favourite for many customers around the world,” said Schulze.

As the powerhouse agent for Mercedes-Benz trucks, vans, and buses since 1976 in Saudi Arabia, JCV has ensured that the German giant maintains its preeminent status as the number one commercial vehicles brand in the market ever.

Numbers prove that the Saudi market is of supreme importance to the commercial vehicles sector in the Middle East. According to Future Market Insights Global and Consulting, truck sales alone touched $560 million in 2021 and could reach nearly $900 million in the next five years. Data cruncher Statista also estimates that 80,000 commercial vehicles were sold in the Kingdom in 2021.

With the first phase of the development expected to be complete by 2025, Neom will be a destination and a home for people who dream big and want to be part of building a new model for exceptional livability, creating thriving businesses, and reinventing environmental conservation.

Neom will be the home and workplace of more than a million residents from around the world. It will include towns and cities, ports and enterprise zones, research centers, sports and entertainment venues, and tourist destinations.

As a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and companies will come to research, incubate, and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways.

The residents of Neom will embody an international ethos and embrace a culture of exploration, risk-taking, and diversity – all supported by a progressive law compatible with international norms and conducive to economic growth.
