Swisslog names new General Manager for Middle East

Leading automation expert, Swisslog announced the appointment of David Dronfield as the new General Manager for its Middle Eastern operations. Dronfield brings more than 35 years of professional experience in the warehouse automation sector with expertise across sales, marketing, business development, project management and in managing senior leadership roles.

With the increased interest in warehouse automation, Dronfield will be responsible for growing Swisslog’s regional customer base and creating awareness about the need for professionally integrated warehouse automation systems. Dronfield will support businesses with the provision of custom solutions that gives them a competitive advantage.

Prior to joining Swisslog Middle East, David has served as Founder & Managing Director of Intralogistic Solution, a company providing intralogistic design, supply chain consulting & turnkey equipment solutions. Additionally, he has worked as the Regional GM for Al Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company, implementing initiatives for a strategic expansion of UAE based Industrial Storage & Handling Solutions business operations across the GCC region.

Savoye appoints Managing Director for Middle East office

Savoye, a global warehouse automation integrator and software publisher, has announced the appointment of Alain Kaddoum as the Middle East Managing Director.

The company says this will enhance its strategy to become one of the leading providers of supply chain solutions in the region, combining hardware and software according to customer needs such as manual, semi-mechanised, mechanised, highly automated, or robotised installations.

New CEO takes charge at Etisalat UAE operations

Etisalat Group announced the appointment of Masood M. Sharif Mahmood as Chief Executive Officer for Etisalat UAE operations. Reporting to Etisalat Group CEO, this new position is part of Etisalat Group’s ongoing transformation strategy that targets diversifying and exploring new growth opportunities, accelerating business development in the digital field, expanding geographical presence and maximising operational efficiency, a statement said.

Rockwell Automation names new Chief Technology Officer

Rockwell Automation, one of the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, announced the appointment of Cyril Perducat as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

 He will report to Rockwell Chairman and CEO Blake Moret.

Perducat joins Rockwell following a 25-year career with Schneider Electric, where he most recently served as executive vice president, Internet of Things and Digital Offers. Perducat has had an extensive career as a technology strategist, particularly for systems, software, networks, and solutions businesses.

“Cyril brings to Rockwell a passion for innovating and building teams, and a drive for implementing successful outcomes based on effective change management,” Moret said. “His career has focused on developing innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing technologies, and we are confident his leadership will help Rockwell reach new levels of value for our customers and partners.”
