IAA Mibility will be held in Munich, Germany

The IAA Mobility 2021, the world’s largest mobility conference, will be held in Munich from September 7 to 12 and will thus be the first major international event in Germany since the easing of the lockdown restrictions.

On September 7 German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel will open the IAA Mobility, where more than 1,000 exhibitors and speakers will present innovations and concepts for the future of mobility.

With a state-of-the-art concept, the IAA Mobility will link the major players in mobility with the big names in high- tech. It will be the first event worldwide to offer visitors a comprehensive array of test drives with the new vehicle models. All the main events at the IAA Mobility will be streamed; the IAA Mobility App will provide visitors with orientation and information at the show itself.

“The IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich will be the largest and most modern mobility event in the world and is a perfect fit at a time when Europe has set out to be the world’s first climate-neutral continent. Traffic plays a major role in this scenario,” says Jürgen Mindel, Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), organiser of the IAA Mobility. “We are already uniting the sectors – automotive, digital, bicycle and urban planning – that will belong together in the future. We will present new concepts and invite visitors to debate on the right path to a climate-neutral future.”

The list of companies presenting innovations at the show includes Audi, BMW, Cupra, Dacia, Ford, Genesis, Great Wall with the brands ORA und WEY, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Mircolino, Polestar, Porsche, Rinspeed, Renault, Smart, Trasco, Volkswagen and Xpeng Motors. The suppliers represented include Bosch, Brose, Continental, Faurecia, Hella, Hyundai MOBIS, Kirchhoff, Magna, Mahle, Michelin, Muba, Schaeffler, Samsung, Siemens, Valeo, Velodyne Lidar, Webasto and ZF.

Players from the digital sector include Aurora, CARIAD, Holoride, Huawei, IBM, Mobileye, Plastic Omnium and Qualcomm, In the area of “Bicycles and Micromobility,” innovations will be presented by more than 50 bicycle companies and 75 brands.
