Almajdouie travel firm named GSA of GoAir for Saudi Arabia

ARJAA Travel and Tourism, part of Almajdouie Group, has been appointed as the general sales agent (GSA) for GoAir for Saudi Arabia. Almajdouie Group president Yousef Almajdouie signed the contract on behalf of Arjaa Travel and Tourism alongside GoAir vice president of Aero Political Affairs Arjun Das. In attendance were representatives from both companies, the media, and officials from Dammam Airports Company. GoAir currently operates over 330 daily flights across 36 destinations – 27 domestic and nine international.

 

Port of Fujairah eyes $204m expansion

THE Port of Fujairah, one of the world’s key oil storage centres and the second-largest ship bunkering hub in the world, is considering several options to invest some Dh750 million ($204.19 million) over the next two years to expand and upgrade its oil handling infrastructure.

This announcement was made by Khalil Ibrahim, chief financial officer of the Port of Fujairah, on the sidelines of International Petroleum Week (IP Week) in London, said a Wam news agency report.

Ibrahim stressed that the Port of Fujairah is consulting clients to understand their expansion plans.

 

Khalifa Fund offers $100m aid to Ethiopian SMEs

THE Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has signed a $100-million agreement with the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance in Addis Ababa to support and fund micro, small, and medium-sized projects in the African nation. This follows the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. It aims at supporting and financing micro, small, and medium-sized projects in Ethiopia.
