Dubai-based Lacnor, a leading brand of National Food Products Company (NFPC), said that it has launched a ‘100 per cent juice with no added sugar’ as part of its Healthy Living range.

The range aims to complement the nation’s drive to improve the health and wellness amongst consumers who are cautious of their sugar intake, said a statement from the company.

Early this month, the UAE government introduced a tax on beverage products containing added sugar, in a move to incentivise less consumption, it said.

The range comprises eight fruit juice flavours, available in either a one litre or 250 ml pack. It can be found at both the chilled aisle and grocery sections of most major supermarket outlets including Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarkets and Co-operative.

It is also available for purchase as part of the Oasis Water Home and Office delivery service (Oasis being another leading product of NFPC).

The range comprises orange, tomato, mango, pomegranate, grapefruit as well as a cranberry, ginger blend and super fruit cocktail, it added.

NFPC has embarked on a high-profile digital marketing campaign highlighting the positive wellness aspects of consuming the Healthy Living range, said a statement.

Suleman Wasim, group marketing director, NFPC, said: “We recognise the rising concerns related to health and wellness that are caused due to the high intake of sugar or sugary products.”

“It is our commitment to provide consumers with products that address their needs to lead a healthier lifestyle. With the Lacnor Healthy Living range, we have created both blended and single pure juices that has no added sugar, just the natural fructose sugar of the fruit itself,” he said.

“These nutritious drinks, packed full of vitamins, are an ideal accompaniment to food, or can be consumed alone as a healthy treat,” he added.
