Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has announced the promotions of Bryan Harris as chief financial officer and Khalid Turani as chief internal audit and risk management officer.

Commenting on these promotions, Alba’s acting chief executive officer said:  “Bryan and Khalid have served Alba for a long time and their respective promotions come in line with their significant contributions to the company.  As we near the completion of Line 6 Expansion Project and prepare for further growth, these management changes will complement our company’s strategic priorities.”

A qualified chartered accountant, Harris assumes his new role in Alba with over 25 years of experience in management roles. Prior to moving to Bahrain, Harris spent nine years in the UK in international leadership roles in internal audit, strategy, planning & performance management, risk, and compliance & ethics for energy giant BP.

Turani has 19 years of experience in audit, risk, compliance and ethics. He started his career with Ernst & Young in 2001 and held posts with international and national companies in Bahrain. He joined Alba in 2010 as a senior internal auditor and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
