Hamzah: veteran

Dubai-based National Food Products Company (NFPC), one of the leading foods and beverage companies in the Middle East, has announced the appointment of Iqbal Hamzah as its new group chief executive officer.

Over the last 28 years, Hamzah has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational, commercial and financial accomplishments, said a statement from the company.

A highly experienced veteran and accomplished professional in the FMCG and food and beverage industry, he will be responsible for leading NFPC to the next stages of expansion and growth, it stated.

Expressing delight at the appointment, chairman Faraj Ali Bin Hamoodah said: “Hamzah is an industry veteran and a proven leader and brings a significant history of experience and success within the F&B industry, with a track record of senior leadership across large and complex multi-location organisations. His vast industry knowledge and expertise will be pivotal in driving the company forward during the next stages of expansion.

Previously, Hamzah was the CEO of Agthia Group and Al Ain Farms, making significant contributions to the growth of the business. Prior to Agthia, he spent four years as the regional finance director of Gillette/P&G responsible for Russia, Republics & Baltics countries, based in Moscow. He has also held several senior executive positions, across Asia, Europe and the Gulf.
