Abu Dhabi Ports has announced the appointment of industry veteran Samir Chaturvedi as CEO of Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad).

Chaturvedi will oversee the growth of Kizad to further enable global trade and the flow of foreign direct investments to the industrial zone. He brings over 35 years of experience executing business strategies for economic zone entities and industries. 

Commenting on his new role, Chaturvedi said: “Abu Dhabi Ports and Kizad is an extraordinary project of modern times and a key component of Abu Dhabi’ s vision of economic diversification and growth. I am very excited to be part of this team and having the opportunity to contribute to this great vision.”

Prior to joining Kizad, Chaturvedi has worked with many large global organisations within the Middle East, India and South-East Asia. Born in India, he is an alumnus of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD), the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) UK and Annamalai University in India.
