The fourth quarter of this year will be a busy one for Expo Centre Sharjah with a number of international events lined up, which includes economic and cultural exhibitions and conferences, said a report.

The agenda of events will begin with the MidEast Watch and Jewellery show from October 2 and end on December 14 with the China Trade Week, a report in WAM said.

The centre’s list of upcoming exhibitions for the year includes five global economic exhibitions: the MidEast Watch and Jewellery show, the International Autumn Trade Fair, the International Concrete Conference and Exhibition in the Middle East, the Consumer Electronics Fashion exhibition, and China Trade Week. The centre’s agenda of events for the year will also include two cultural exhibitions: the Sharjah International Book Fair and the International Photography Festival Xposure.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said: “The centre is keen to update and diversify its agenda of activities, and establish strategic partnerships with various international organisations that are leaders in the field of organising exhibitions. The centre is also working to develop its performance and services to enhance and solidify its leading status in the global exhibition and conference industry, which comes as part of the framework of its new strategic plan for 2018-2022.”

The 45th edition of the biannual MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show, which is the first and largest event of its kind in the region, will be held from October 2 to 6, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The show will feature over 500 exhibitors from 25 countries.

Following this, Expo Centre Sharjah will host the Sharjah International Book Fair, under the supervision of the Sharjah Book Authority in November from October 20 to November 2. The third edition of the International Photography Festival XPOSURE, which will be organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau will take place from November 20 to 24 at Expo Centre Sharjah. The 2nd edition of the International Concrete Conference and Exhibition in the Middle East (ICCX Middle East 2018) will launch its activities on November 25.

Expo Centre Sharjah will then host the fourth Consumer Electronics Fashion (CEF) from November 28 to December 2. The exhibition will offer the best brands in fashion, accessories, home appliances, smartphones and electronics at the best prices.

The sixth edition of China Trade Week will be held from December 12 to 14. The show will see over 300 exhibitors showcasing over 1,000 Chinese products. The new edition of China Trade Week will occupy 8,000 sq m of space and will host high-end Chinese manufacturers from industries including auto parts, furniture, interiors, and consumer goods such as electronics.
