A Hiab remote-controlled loader crane

Hiab, part of Cargotec, will supply Rock Logistics with 26 remote-controlled loader cranes for its delivery contract for roofing products manufacturer Lysaght, a division of BlueScope Steel, for its operations in Victoria and Tasmania in Australia.

The order, worth approximately €1 million ($1.17 million), is for 13 HIAB X-HiDuo 138, a 11.3 tm mid-range crane, and 13 XS 099 HiDuo, a 9.3 tm unit. The units will be delivered in the third quarter (Q3) of 2018.

A market leader in transport and logistics, Rock Logistics has established a strong relationship with Hiab. A Hiab customer for over 10 years, in 2015, Rock Logistics purchased 30 loader cranes to cover its steel transportation contracts in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Jason Sams, business manager at Rock Logistics, stated: “Hiab supply quality equipment with all the mandatory and desirable safety features we require to safely deliver the quality of service our customers and the industry demands.”

“Rock Logistics demands safety and reliability from its suppliers and these are also key priorities for Hiab,” said Cody Rowan, national sales manager, Hiab. “Rock Logistics is a highly respected company within the transport industry. Rock prides itself on being an industry leader and we are, of course, proud to be its supplier of choice.”

The order has been booked into Cargotec’s 2018 second quarter order intake.
