LDC consortium to buy Doux

FRANCE’S largest poultry processor LDC has joined hands with Saudi food group Al Munajem to take over production sites of ailing chicken processor Groupe Doux based in Brittany, France, said a report. The LDC consortium also included French agri-food co-op – and Doux majority shareholder – Terrena, reported Just-Food.com.

Honeywell’s CEC in Kuwait

HONEYWELL has opened a state-of-the-art customer experience centre (CEC) at its office in Mina Abdullah in southern Kuwait, which aims at giving local customers, trainees and students a deeper understanding of Honeywell products and solutions. The centre will in particular support Honeywell Connected Plant technology, for oil and gas facilities and refineries, said a statement.

New facility in Jafza opens

ACCESS World Logistics, a joint venture between RHS Group, Dubai, and Switzerland-based Access World, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art third party logistics and warehousing facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). The facility was built over a 40,000-sq-m plot with a total investment of about Dh40 million ($10.89 million), said a statement. With a storage capacity in excess of 100,000 freight tonnes of multiple products, it has a 15,200 sq m covered warehouse with very narrow aisle racking systems as well as bulk-stowage space, and air-conditioned as well as ambient-temperature warehousing space, plus an open-storage yard of about 7,500 sq m, it said.

BMTC partners with Parans

BAHRI & Mazroei Trading Company (BMTC), a leading provider of electrical, lighting and water solutions, has signed an agreement with Sweden’s Parans Solar Lighting to launch its human-centric lighting solutions to the UAE.

BMTC, a subsidiary of the UAE-based Bahri & Mazroei Group, said as part of the deal, it will provide end-to-end solutions that includes engineering, design, supply, maintenance and distribution of Parans solar lighting. The Parans Solar Lighting solutions represent a breakthrough in renewable energy lighting for indoors across all sectors - from homes to commercial establishments, educational institutions and hospitals.
